State funds support community projects in Montgomery County

State Senator Tracy Pennycuick | Pennsylvania

Senator Tracy Pennycuick has announced the allocation of five state grants to various community projects in Montgomery County. These grants, awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, are part of the Marcellus Legacy Fund Act 13 grant programs.

Three projects in Montgomery County will benefit from funding through the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program. Green Lane Borough is set to receive $79,770 for its Route 29 pedestrian lighting project. Marlborough Township will be granted $180,000 for improvements at Skymount Lake Park. Additionally, Provco, Pinegood, & Stowe, LLC has been awarded $53,000 for crosswalk improvements on Grosstown Road/Schuylkill River Trail.

Furthermore, two projects in Montgomery County will receive support from the Watershed Restoration and Protection Program. Collegeville Borough is allocated $85,881 for its Dornie Brook streambank restoration project. Towamencin Township will receive $50,000 for its Grist Mill Drive basin conversion project.
