Senator Tracy Pennycuick has announced the 4th Annual Youth Fishing Derby, which will take place at Camp Wawa Park in Schwenksville. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This year, the derby aims to promote outdoor recreation, environmental education, and family engagement.
"I am excited to once again host this annual event, which provides young anglers and their families with an opportunity to enjoy Pennsylvania’s natural resources," said Senator Pennycuick. "In addition to fishing, participants will have the chance to learn about our state’s diverse wildlife and the importance of conservation."
The event is open to all youth, with families encouraged to join. Experienced anglers and first-time fishers alike are welcome. Participants are advised to bring their own fishing poles and bait for a full experience.
