Pamela Hernandez, a resident of Reading, PA, shares insights into her personal and professional life. Raised by a Puerto Rican mother and a Dominican father, Hernandez embraces her heritage and upbringing in Pennsylvania.

Hernandez expresses a passion for her job due to its impact on people's lives. She enjoys shaping a positive work environment, supporting employee growth, and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued. "There’s something deeply satisfying about helping others succeed and watching the organization grow because of it," she states.

Despite being an outdoor enthusiast who loves camping and hiking, Hernandez admits that people are often surprised by this interest due to her fear of bugs. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Her hero is her mother, who raised five children as a single parent while pursuing a nursing career against many odds. Her mother retired from Tower Health at the end of 2023. "I miss being able to have lunch with her on Fridays," Hernandez remarks.

Family is central to Hernandez's life. She has three children with whom she shares a close bond, along with two more children from her husband Sal's side. Together they also have a son-in-law and their first grandson. "I strive every day to be an example of love and kindness for all of them," she emphasizes.

Among other interests, Hernandez lists reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho as her favorite book and listening to the podcast "Dateline." When asked about karaoke songs, she would choose Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."

A perfect day for Hernandez involves camping at French Creek State Park with activities like kayaking on the lake alongside her husband. Her hobbies include visiting National and State Parks with family and watching sports.

When it comes to daily essentials beyond necessities, she mentions needing her phone for staying connected with loved ones. If cast in a movie about her life, she would want Rita Moreno to play her role due to Moreno's fiery personality.

Her favorite film is Forrest Gump; for entertainment preferences on television or game shows, she believes she'd excel at Wheel of Fortune.

Hernandez values kindness greatly: "It costs nothing to be kind," she's grateful for learning this lesson early on in life while cherishing family traditions such as matching pajamas during holidays regardless of geographical distance between members – capturing moments together through photographs remains important even when apart physically across different locations worldwide.
