Pennycuick announces grants for Montgomery County technical education programs

State Senator Tracy Pennycuick | Pennsylvania

Senator Tracy Pennycuick has announced the approval of job training and education grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for several technical education programs in Montgomery County schools. These grants are part of efforts to enhance educational facilities and resources.

Senator Pennycuick emphasized her commitment to securing this funding as part of the 2023-2024 Commonwealth Budget. The funds will be used by schools to purchase new equipment, aiding in the development of technical skills among students.

The following institutions will each receive $150,000: Western Montgomery Career & Technology Center, North Montco Technical Career Center, Berks County Career & Technology Center, Brandywine Heights Area School District’s technical education program, and Pottstown School District’s technical education program.

These grants are intended to support local educational initiatives and improve access to quality technical training for students in the region.
