Senator Tracy Pennycuick has announced the allocation of state funds for redevelopment projects in three boroughs: Pennsburg, Collegeville, and Schwenksville. The funding aims to support renovation and revitalization efforts in these areas.

Pennsburg Borough will receive $847,850 for renovations to the borough hall and public works garage. The project includes roof repairs, window replacements, improved exterior lighting for the borough hall, and several upgrades to the garage such as new overhead doors, heating systems, and a new salt shed.

In Collegeville Borough, $500,000 has been allocated for the revitalization of Main Street's 400 block. This initiative involves transforming a garage into a Craft Spirit Distilling and Bottling Facility at 426 E. Main St., along with establishing a tasting room/café at 454 E Main St., which will offer locally sourced coffee, food, and beverages.

Pugliese Brothers Inc. is set to receive $500,000 to convert the Old National Bank of Schwenksville into a multipurpose retail campus. The project will preserve the building's architectural heritage while adding new facilities like a restaurant/brewpub and a coffee shop.

“This funding will provide vital support to projects that will renovate and transform properties in Pennsburg, Collegeville and Schwenksville,” Pennycuick stated. “Keeping our municipal buildings up to date, revitalizing Main Streets and preserving historic buildings are crucial components to maintaining thriving communities. I’m very happy to announce this support.”
