Senator Tracy Pennycuick, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), is organizing a virtual event aimed at aiding prospective college students with the financial aid application process for the 2025-26 academic year. This initiative seeks to provide crucial information on the evolving procedures for obtaining financial support for higher education.

Scheduled for December 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, the session will also include time for questions afterward. The event welcomes participants of all ages and educational levels who are interested in pursuing higher education.

Senator Pennycuick expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership with PHEAA, stating, “I’m excited to partner with PHEAA to help students and their families navigate the college application process.” She emphasized that this virtual gathering would offer vital insights into financial aid and college planning.

Michael Burke, a Higher Education Access Partner at PHEAA, will lead the presentation. He will cover topics related to college planning, available programs, and steps necessary for applying for aid. Senator Wayne Fontana, Chairman of the PHEAA Board of Directors, remarked on the importance of such events: “At PHEAA, we welcome every opportunity to provide guidance to those who dream of pursuing higher education.”

For those interested in attending or seeking more information about this event, registration details are available through Senator Pennycuick’s office at 215-541-2388.
