State Rep. Donna Scheuren | Pennsylvania 147th Legislative District
Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) announced today that three projects in the 147th district have been awarded key grants from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). The grants will support important infrastructure upgrades in the area.
The Franconia Sewer Authority sanitary sewer extension project received a $1.12 million grant from CFA's H2O PA Program. This project aims to improve the sewer infrastructure in Franconia Township by extending sewer services in various areas. Scheuren expressed her excitement about the grant, stating, "I was thrilled to see these grants get awarded for various infrastructure upgrades across my district."
The Berks-Montgomery Municipal Authority sanitary sewer rehabilitation project was granted $276,617 from CFA's PA Small Water and Sewer Program. This project involves rehabilitating existing sewer pipes with advanced technology. Once completed, the project will benefit the community by enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the sewer system.
The Telford Borough Authority Hidden Valley sewer project also received funding from CFA's PA Small Water and Sewer Program. With a grant of $268,025, this project will extend public sanitary sewer service to the Hidden Valley residential neighborhood and adjacent homes located along County Line Road. The grant will play a crucial role in fixing a system that has a history of failures.
Scheuren emphasized her support for these projects and the positive impact they will have on the community. She proudly stated, "I was proud to write letters of support for all three of these projects and know the additional funding will help get them across the finish line."
The grants provided by the CFA will play a significant role in improving infrastructure and addressing long-standing issues in the 147th district. These projects will not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also promote economic growth and development in the area.
It is evident that Rep. Donna Scheuren is committed to securing funding for key projects in her district and advocating for the needs of her constituents. With these grants, the district can look forward to a more efficient and reliable sewer infrastructure system.
