Council Approves Active Transportation Plan

Green Lane Borough Council approved the “Activating Green Lane: Active Transportation and Revitalization Plan” during the July 14, 2022, meeting. Council unanimously approved the plan following a presentation by Randy Waltermyer, Planning and Municipal Services Leader with Traffic Planning & Design, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm based in Oaks. The $45,000 planning project was funded by a grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI). The goal of the two-year project was to develop a plan to improve active transportation in Green Lane with connections to the regional trail network while simultaneously revitalizing the Borough.

A complete report on the plan is available by clicking here.

Although the plan has been approved, implementation will depend on the Borough’s ability to obtain grant funding and make updates to the local and regional comprehensive plans.
