Senator Tracy Pennycuick and Representative Matt Bradford have announced a state grant of $500,000 aimed at the renovation and repurposing of the Old National Bank of Schwenksville. The building, located at 415 Main Street and dating back to 1872, will be transformed into a multi-use space by Pugliese Brothers, Inc. The project plans include commercial retail on the ground floor with apartments above.

Senator Pennycuick expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “It’s exciting to deliver this state assistance to help give new life to a building with so much history.” She emphasized the importance of returning tax dollars to local communities for essential projects. “When completed, this renovated property will be a great addition to Main Street,” she added.

Representative Bradford also shared his excitement regarding the development. “I’m thrilled for this important investment in the revitalization of the Old National Bank into a retail space," he said. He acknowledged the support from the Shapiro Administration for their role in funding community projects.
