Senator Tracy Pennycuick is set to host a Scam Jam event on December 13 in collaboration with Skippack Township, PA Banking and Securities, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and AARP. The event will take place at the Skippack Township Building located at 4089 Heckler Rd, Skippack, PA from 10 AM to 12 PM.

The initiative comes as scammers become more active during the holiday season when spending, online shopping, and charitable giving are heightened. "Scammers are especially active during the holidays," the release notes. It further explains that scams may vary in form but often share a common method: "preying on emotions, circumstances, or lack of knowledge to take financial advantage of another party." The event aims to educate attendees on remaining vigilant and recognizing warning signs.
