State Senator Tracy Pennycuick | Pennsylvania
Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24), alongside local legislators, will award School Safety grants to North Penn and Souderton Area School Districts. North Penn is set to receive $305,659, while Souderton Area Schools will be granted $479,398.
These funds are designated to enhance security across both districts by providing additional security officers, a police vehicle, fire alarm system upgrades, and other safety equipment. The grants will also support investments in mental health services for students.
The School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC) under the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) administers these grants.
The awards will be presented on Friday, June 7, 2024:
- 1:00 p.m. at North Penn School District, 401 E. Hancock Street, Lansdale, PA 19446
- 2:00 p.m. at Souderton Area School District, 760 Lower Road, Souderton, PA 18964
