Senator Tracy Pennycuick and Representative Matt Bradford have awarded Schwenksville Borough over $1 million for various projects. The funds were secured through grants from the Department of Community and Economic Development and the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The two legislators presented ceremonial checks to the borough during a meeting on Thursday.

“We’re happy to have secured over $1 million in grant funding for Schwenksville Borough,” said Pennycuick. “This bipartisan effort underscores our dedication to improving the lives of Pennsylvanians. This investment will have a positive impact on the lives of local residents, and we look forward to continuing our work together to improve our communities.”

Bradford also expressed his satisfaction with the allocation, stating, “Schwenksville Borough does an incredible job taking on projects that will improve our neighbors’ quality of life. I’m thrilled that the library is receiving significant support and I’m always pleased to see that our community is getting state funds to improve traffic safety.” He added, “I’m grateful that the Shapiro Administration is investing in these important projects in Schwenksville.”

The funding has been designated for several key initiatives within Schwenksville Borough:

- $100,000 for pedestrian safety improvements along Summit Avenue, Game Farm Road, and Highland Avenue. This funding comes from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Local Share Account Statewide program.

- $999,754 for renovations and improvements at the Perkiomen Valley Library. This also comes from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Local Share Account Statewide program.

- $90,000 for traffic infrastructure improvements provided by the Department of Community and Economic Development.
