Widener Pride falls to Ursinus Bears 18-7 in Division III baseball matchup

At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, the Widener Pride, featuring former Perkiomen Valley High School standout Jackson Houy, were defeated 18-7 in their NCAA Division III baseball contest against the Ursinus Bears.

The matchup, held at Widener Baseball Field, marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Houy pitched two innings, giving up five earned runs while tallying one walk and two strikeouts.

The Pride will take the field again on Friday, March 13, at 3:30 p.m., facing off against Messiah Falcons at Starry Baseball Field.
