Join a dedicated team in an ever-growing community! Reporting to the Director of Community Planning, the Assistant Zoning Officer will apply knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, township zoning ordinance, stormwater management, and other township codes to daily tasks including administration, inspections, and enforcement. Essential functions include reviewing permits and plans for zoning compliance, processing appeals to the Zoning Hearing Board, researching plan restrictions, court decisions, and property ownership, receiving, processing, and investigating resident complaints, preparing written reports and official notices, preparing/updating mapping in a GIS system, and attending hearings.  Conflict management and critical thinking skills are essential, as well as the ability to multi-task, effectively problem solve, gather, and analyze data and make sound judgments. The desired candidate is an efficient, detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional organizational skills. Salary $60k – $75k based on experience.
