In today’s digital age, protecting personal information is increasingly crucial. Identity theft remains a significant crime with the potential to disrupt finances and credit. To assist residents in safeguarding their sensitive information, Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) will host a Free Drive Through Shredding Event on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 9 A.M to 12 P.M. at the Boyertown Area Multi-Service (200 Spring St., Boyertown, PA 19512).

Items eligible for shredding include bank statements, credit card statements, medical records, tax documents, pay stubs, and pre-approved credit card offers. However, phonebooks, newspapers, and bound books cannot be shredded.

As the Senate Communications and Technology Chair, Senator Pennycuick expressed her commitment to community safety: "By working together, we can fight identity theft and protect our personal information."

Additionally, volunteers from Preston’s Pantry will be present to collect food donations during the event. For further details about the event, contact Lidia Di Fiore at (215) 541-2388.
