Senator Tracy Pennycuick is organizing a Scam Jam event on June 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will take place at the TriCounty Active Adult Center in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. It aims to educate individuals, particularly seniors, on how to protect themselves against fraud, identity theft, and financial scams.
The event will feature experts from various organizations including the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Pottstown Police Department, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and AARP. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from these professionals.
“Scammers are getting smarter, and it’s more important than ever that our community knows how to recognize and avoid these threats,” said Senator Pennycuick. “Our Scam Jam brings together a team of professionals dedicated to protecting Pennsylvanians and providing the tools and knowledge to stay safe.”
The event is free for the public and includes presentations as well as printed resources. There will also be a session for questions and answers with each participating agency.
