Senator Tracy Pennycuick recently hosted a seminar focused on state grants for nonprofit leaders from Berks and Montgomery counties. Over 130 participants attended the event, organized in collaboration with the Tri-County Community Network (TCN), to explore opportunities for state funding.
“Our nonprofits play a critical role in our communities—whether it’s providing food assistance, supporting survivors of domestic violence, or preserving our local history,” stated Senator Pennycuick. “Navigating the grant process can be challenging, and I’m glad today’s seminar offered guidance to help them secure the funding they deserve.”
Holly Parker, the Executive Director of TCN, highlighted the importance of collaboration for nonprofit success. “We’re proud to work with Senator Pennycuick to shine a light on the many grant opportunities—both public and private—that are available to support the essential work of our nonprofit community,” said Parker.
At the seminar, a funding and resource specialist from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania provided insights into various grant programs at different levels. Nonprofit representatives gained a better understanding of eligibility requirements, application processes, and funding levels from agencies such as the Departments of Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources, and others.
Attendees left equipped with tools to help them access funding and advance their missions effectively.
