Jaycee Merizalde, a former standout from Perkiomen School, contributed to a 56-49 victory for her current team, the Southern Connecticut State Owls, over the Saint Michael’s Purple Knights in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 13.

The contest tipped off at 5 p.m. in James Moore Field House and marked the team’s first meeting with the Saint Michael’s Purple Knights in the tournament.

Southern Connecticut State is set for its next tournament game on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the same venue.
