On Wednesday, Feb. 19, former Spring-Ford Senior High School standout Jake Books’ current college team, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, lost 15-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Charleston Cougars.

The game took place at Springs Brooks Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Chanticleers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. at 121 Financial Ballpark against Alabama Crimson Tide.
