Borough of East Greenville issued the following announcement on May 25.

FOURTH STREET ROAD WORK

Road work is beginning on W. Fourth Street between Main Street and State Street. The Road Department is milling failing sections of the road and will be blacktopping these sections in preparation for a Micro Surface road project after school recesses for summer break. The work will also include the 400 and 500 blocks of Jefferson Street. A contract for the Micro Surfacing was awarded to AMS of Emmaus and will include curb milling and a one-inch overlay. The borough determined that the base surface of these two roads was in good enough condition to warrant a new surface that will be more cost-effective than a standard overlay. Neither of the roads require a complete rebuild. We will post more information on this website and social media when the exact dates are known. Please use caution on these roads while work is in progress.
